Obituary For Kelly Anne Larvie

Kelly Anne Larvie, 54, a long-time resident of Auburn, California died at home on November 20, 2023. Kelly was born in Provo, Utah at the Utah Valley Hospital on November 2, 1969, the fifth and last child of Francis Carl and Anne Elizabeth (Kelly) Larvie. Recalling her mother’s Irish roots, Kelly’s reddish blond hair and green eyes marked her as the family favorite. She spent her infancy in towns ranging in size from Eureka, Utah to Houston, Texas, but she attended school through 9th grade in Casper, Wyoming. Graduating high school in 1988, she enrolled in Western Washington University. She took a break from her studies to reside with her sister Veronica's family as they transitioned from Wyoming to Washington, DC. After a year on the east coast, Kelly returned to the state of Washington. She finally settled in central California, where she served as an environmental geospatial research analyst in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, specializing in wildfire prediction and management. Kelly loved adventure and travel, and she was passionate about the environment. She adored dogs and was an avid mountain-biker; she frequently rode the trails around Sacramento and Auburn. In 2004 her mother preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Francis Carl Larvie; by her eldest brother, Francis John Larvie (Virginie Cybèle Deniau) and his two sons, Marc and Christian; by her eldest sister, Veronica Larvie (Tom Rinehart) and her three sons, Jackson, Charles, and Alec Rinehart; and by her two other brothers Mykol (Kazue Takahashi) and Sean Patrick Larvie. St. Clare Catholic Church of Rocklin will perform a brief liturgical ceremony followed by committal at Morgan Oaks Eternal Preserve, where her remains will lie in natural repose. Friends and family have offered a Triduum of Holy Masses and 30 days of Gregorian Masses by the Servants of Charity and the Pious Union of St. Joseph in Grass Lakes, MI, and a Mass and prayers from the Salesian Community of New Rochelle, NY. St. Clare's Catholic Church of Rocklin has graciously offered to commit her baptized soul back to God. Support for any of these good, pious, and charitable organizations is always welcome.
